REVIVAL --- MANIFESTING REPENTANCE
I've been hearing people question this wonderful awakening that is happening. Some say it can't be legit because there is no firey preaching of turning from sin. There is no warning of burning in "hell" forever. So how can this be a genuine revival or awakening?
The mere fact that people want to gather to pray and worship God is a manifestation of repentance. Turning to God and turning away from everything else is a really big deal. I think that is pretty legit!
"Repent" - Greek: Metanoeō It's where we get the word Metamorphosis - like when a caterpillar turns into a butterfly! The butterfly does not say, "I'm a caterpillar saved by grace". The butterfly is a NEW CREATION! This is what we are seeing in this great awakening - MANIFESTING METANOEO -Transformation.
2 Corinthians 5:17 Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become new.
